Steve Jerome Sr. comes from a long line of plumbers dating back to his grandfather, Benny DiGeronimo, who emigrated from Italy in the early 1920s, and began working as a Sewer Builder in the Shaker Heights area. A nephew and three sons followed in his footsteps with careers in the plumbing field. Particularly, one son, Ralph, nicknamed "Jake," established the family-owned business in 1964. In 1978, Jake's son and the current owner, Steve Sr., began overseeing operations and grew the business to what it is today.

Steve Jerome Plumbing is a fourth-generation family business, dedicating its livelihood to the concerns and needs of our customers. We understand that our industry is emergency-based, and we treat every call with great importance. From our simple beginnings, we always wanted to be a "Friend" to the customer and go above and beyond the call of duty. Not only do we avoid cutting corners, but Steve Jerome Plumbing Inc. performs the finest craftsmanship available. Our goal is to not be just another plumber that's pulled out of the phonebook. We want to create relationships for life and be the companion you can count on each and every day.
Steve Sr.'s education in plumbing erupted at a young age. He would ride along with his father and uncles to jobs as young as 10 years old. He was exposed to all types of plumbing-related areas such as new construction, remodeling, repairs and commercial work. He studied business and plumbing courses during his latter high school years and still continues an ongoing education regularly with the Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Contractors Association. In addition, he also attends various classes and seminars elsewhere. Steve served his apprenticeship after high school and earned a Journeyman Plumber license. Shortly after, he was granted a Master Plumber license, scoring at the top of his class. Steve now holds a state certification, which permits him to practice plumbing throughout the state of Ohio. Steve was a member and officer of the Master Plumbers League organization (now merged with the PHCC Association).
Steve Jr., like his father, began "riding in the truck" early on. He was always intrigued with every aspect of the trades, especially plumbing, and wanted to be involved with all facets of the industry. Steve was a student in a two-year high school vocational tech class that entailed classroom studies as well as hands-on participation in all construction fields including masonry, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, siding and window installation, roofing, and HVAC. He also completed a four-year plumbing apprentice program with Associated Builders & Contractors, and earned a degree in Business Management where he has been placed on the Dean's List several times. In 2010 Steve Jerome Jr. obtained his state contractors license in Ohio. Not only is he eagerly prepared to fulfill the demands of a new market, he is very proud to continue the family tradition as a fourth generation plumber!
